Doug Kutilek



Doug Kutilek is the editor of and has been researching and writing in the area of Bible texts and versions for more than 35 years. He has a B.A. in Bible from Baptist Bible College (Springfield, Mo.), M.A. in Hebrew Bible from Hebrew Union College (Cincinnati; and completed all requirements for a Ph.D. except the dissertation); Th.M. in Bible exposition from Central Baptist Seminary (Plymouth, Minn.). In addition, he has studied at Wichita State University, Grace Theological Seminary, the University of Cincinnati, and Baptist Bible Graduate School of Theology. He has formally studied more than 15 languages and dialects.


He has taught in several Bible institutes and colleges, graduate schools and seminaries, both in America and in Eastern Europe. He has been a commuting missionary to Romania and other points in Eastern Europe since 1991, recently served for seven years with Christian Ministries to Offenders, a local jail ministry in Wichita, Kansas, teaches a large adult Bible class in the church of which he is a member, and edits a monthly cyber-journal, "As I See It." His writings have appeared in numerous publications including The Biblical Evangelist, The Baptist Bible Tribune, The Baptist Preacher's Journal, Frontline, Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society, The Midwestern Journal of Theology and The Wichita Eagle, and have been issued by such publishers as Pilgrim Publications, I.B.R.I., and Kregel.


The father of four grown children, and grandfather of four granddaughters and three grandsons, he resides with his wife of 35 years Naomi near Wichita, Kansas.
